I've been spending a lot more time in Brooklyn lately. And I'm not complaining. From Bushwick to Williamsburg, it seems there's hardly a block without any street art. Today's post is a kind of like a follow up from last week's block party. If you haven't read it yet, here's your chance! My staycation last week meant that I had plenty of time to roam the streets looking for art. In other words, a road trip to the moon. Enjoy!
Okay, so there was a reason I wanted to walk this way. It's because after weeks of seeing this Cookie Monster mural by Jerkface on Instagram, I needed to see it in person. This mural is almost too cute to handle. I am so jealous of whoever lives in the apartment building across the street. I'd take this view over trees and buildings any day! You can see more of his art on his website, here. Or just keep following my blog. :)
Just a few blocks away from this mural is Jerkface's newest mural, "Jerkelangelo". I mean....he is killing the street art game right now!!
Now in the heart of the Collective, we can see all the progress since the block party. I'm loving all of it, old and new!
Here's a personal favorite of mine. I see it every time I go, but it's a rounded corner that always has a car parked in front of it. Even better alone in all it's glory!
Check back tomorrow for another post taking part in Bushwick, this time at an art fest! Let's call it The Brooklyn Chronicles Part Deux.
That's all for now. I <3 you NYC!
