JUICY ART FEST: THE BROOKLYN CHRONICLES PART DEUX

Even though I love the seemingly weekly additions to the Bushwick Collective and it's surrounding neighborhood, that's really only where the street art culture begins. I've said this before, but it is really is my favorite type of exhibition when an artist I know from their street murals has a gallery with their smaller canvases. So when I heard about the Juicy Art Fest, I knew it was going to be an event right up my alley.

Exit Room NY is an art gallery and cultural space in Brooklyn, residing next door to a private event space, The Well Public House. The venue has a huge outdoor space, and there was live paintings going on at the art fest. See below for all my in progress shots! Links below each picture if you'd like to see the artist's finished product. Enjoy!!

Inside the venue there was plenty of art and beer to enjoy. It was also the perfect weekend for a combined indoor and outdoor event--the weather was beautiful, but some much needed air conditioning was only a few hundred feet away!

The block outside of the gallery was covered in amazing art in time for the festival, too. Here are a couple of my favorites:

Right off the Montrose stop on the L train in Bushwick, this will definitely not be my last time at Exit Room. Also, rumor has it that the Well Public House will be opening to the public soon. Drinking in an outdoor space full of murals? Count me in!

Stay tuned for my adventures this weekend, and have an adventure of your own!
