Last night I attended an open house in TriBeCa for a $4.3 million apartment. Besides the fact that I love going to open houses and exploring the housing options in New York City (especially the options I can't afford!), it was a special filming for Million Dollar Listing: New York. Ryan Serhant, one of New York City's top real estate brokers, was hosting the open house. What I was expecting was beautiful views, beautiful people, and free food and drinks. I got all of that and SO much more!
A production assistant on the team asked us to talk about the art that was on display in the apartment. Louis Kunsch, the artist, passed away in 2011. Most recently, his art was being shown at the Franklin 54 Gallery in Chelsea. The gallery exhibits mainly abstract mixed media contemporary fine art by mature artists--of which Louis Kunsch fits the description perfectly. His watercolors had beautiful color schemes, and although I am more of a fan of street art myself, I enjoyed the ambiance that his art's impact had on the apartment.
While being filmed, commenting on the art, Ryan decided to join in on the conversation. One of his first comments was that my dress was a work of art itself.
Thanks Ryan, I agree.
Overall, it was a great night spent with great company. Side note-- MDLNY starts airing in April. I'll keep you all updated if I make the cut on to the show!!
A huge thank you to my best friend, Sonaly, for inviting me to the event. She's a real estate agent for Nest Seeker's International--isn't she just fabulous? I'm sure you'll be seeing much more of her on my page. Our styles are so similar, and when we lived together we had two closets worth of clothes!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. And for those of you in NYC with me...stay warm and dry!! I'm dying for winter to end. Spring shopping begins soon....
